The next Moondance should be held 12/31/2001 from 9 to 11:45 PM as part of the New Years Rockport Eve celebration. Admission will be by the button they sell.We no longer offer Moondance on a regular basis. While we certainly had many fun evenings in the two years we hosted this event, having a smoke and alcohol-free place to dance was apparently not important enough to the Cape Ann community for people to attend in sufficient numbers. Keep us in mind if you'd like us to offer it in conjuction with special functions.

Moondance, founded and hosted by Carla Mattioli and Jeffry Steele, provides an opportunity for people of all ages to interact and move to many styles of music. The diversity and playful atmosphere has recently brought more families to Moondance, giving parents and children a relaxed non-verbal experience together. This has added to the fun for the adults who come without children.

While most of the evening consists of free-style dancing -- with or without partners -- the hosts will occasionally lead a line or circle dance. Participants are also encouraged to share steps they know. Music ranges from Motown and Disco to Celtic and Middle Eastern, from Swing and Rock to Afro-Brazilian. All ages are welcome.

DJ Services

I am, on occasion, willing to be hired out as Disc Jockey for other dances, provided they are also free of smoke and alcohol. My system is 100 watts and consists of CD and DAT players.
