"Your
arrangements are very nice. Above all I appreciate very much Allemande
from Cello Suite no. 2: it's great! I play it nearly everyday Thanks a lot. I
look forward your next month's piece" -- HervŽ Castre (France)
The
Music: Though taken primarily from my Prism Music arrangements
and compositions for guitar, I will occasionally include unpublished pieces as
well. In addition to works for guitar solo, there will be guitar duets, guitar
with voice, with synthesizer and other instruments. Multi-movement works will
be randomly offered one movement at a time. Playing level will range from intermediate
to virtuosic. There will be arrangements of music by Josquin des Préz,
John Dowland, J.S. Bach, Chopin, Stravinsky and a variety songwriters, along with
my own music -- some of which is intended for theatrical context and some of which
is in the scordatura commonly known as DADGAD. You'll find most of the titles
listed on my Sheet Music page. Why
I am doing this: I can understand why many guitarists
would hesitate to purchase sheet music if they are not familiar with the arranger/composer
-- or to purchase CDs is they are not familiar with the performer -- so I do this
partially out of a desire to have more people know my work. The bottom line for
most guitar music publishers is quantity of potential sales rather than musical
quality or originality. I only put out music from my performing and recording
repertoire, and thereby seek to benefit both amateur and professional guitarists
with the breadth of my experience.
